I’m going to attempt to breakdown possible scenarios for each team out of the 2A District 1. I’m doing this based off the KSHSAA guidelines to the best of my knowledge given different scenarios. WEEK 8 GAMES
Jayhawk-Linn @ Riverton
Southeast @ Humboldt
Northeast @ Erie
HUMBOLDT
- Clinched the district championship and 1st round home game
JAYHAWK-LINN
- With JHL WIN, JAYHAWK-LINN FINISHES #2
- WITH JHL LOSS + SEHS LOSS, JAYHAWK-LINN FINISHES #3
- With JHL LOSS + SEHS WIN:
- Finishes number 2 as long as loss is no greater than 15 points AND SEHS loses by 15 or more points
- Could finish 3 or 4 based on points
SOUTHEAST
- With SEHS WIN + JHL LOSS
- Finishes number 2 as long as win is no less than 1 point and JHL loss is 1 point or greater
- Could finish 3 or 4 based on points
- With RHS+SEHS+EHS LOSS, RIVERTON FINISHES #4 (via head-to-head tiebreaker loss to RHS)
RIVERTON
- With RHS WIN + SEHS LOSS, RIVERTON FINISHES #2
- With RHS+SEHS+EHS LOSS, RIVERTON FINISHES #3 (via head-to-head tiebreaker over SEHS)
ERIE
- With EHS WIN+RHS & SEHS LOSS FINISHES #4
- As long as RHS losses by 12 or more and EHS wins by 12 or more
