Coach Sean Price and the Labette County faithful knew what they were getting in their match-up against 4A-1 powerhouse, Andale. The Indians won the game in a hard-nosed fashion. On the road, a powerful ground and pound offense combined with a stellar defensive attack led the Indians to a 39-0 victory over the  Grizzlies. Coming in to the game, Andale knew that in order to win, they would have to limit the play of 6’7″ quarterback, Easton Dean, who in the previous week, provided 6 total offensive scores. They did just that Friday night, as they held the signal caller to 6-15 passing for 60 yards and an interception on an overthrown dump off pass. Running Back T.J. Mayhue provided the Grizzlies with their only glimpse of offensive consistency, as he carried the rock for 60 yards off of 15 carries, for an average of 4.0 YPC. Rogan Bruce led the defensive stats column for Labette with 16 total tackles.

On the other side of the ball, between running backs Jeremy Jansen and Sawyer Simon, the Indians pounded the rock religiously for 191 yards and 4 scores. Andale Improves to 2-0 on the season, as Labette falls to 1-1 overall. The Grizzlies look to rebound next week on the road as they travel North to face off against an 0-2 Osawatomie.
