Beau Hall put together an all-around performance on Friday night, leading the Flinthills Mustangs past the Central-Burden Raiders 60-38 in an offensive showdown.
Hall paced the Mustangs on both sides of the ball, totaling five touchdowns and racking up nearly 300 rushing yards to guide Flinthills across the finish line.
Hall and the Ground Attack Take Charge
The Mustangs leaned on a balanced offensive performance that combined explosive runs with timely completions. Hall led the rushing attack, carrying the ball 22 times for 298 yards—averaging a massive 13.55 yards per carry—and finding the end zone four times on the ground. He ripped off a long run of 41 yards and added another score on a kickoff return.
Through the air, Hall finished 5-of-8 passing for 108 yards and a touchdown. His primary target on the evening was Deken Girty, who hauled in three passes for 48 yards and a score. Charles Farris contributed an explosive 30-yard reception, while Ty Finley added a 20-yard catch to keep the chains moving.
Farris also did damage in multiple roles, rushing for a touchdown, pulling down a receiving score, and running in a two-point conversion. In total, the Mustangs amassed 444 yards of offense.
Defensive Stops and Big Special Teams Plays
While the scoreboard showed plenty of offense, the Mustangs made critical plays on defense and special teams to pull away.
Hall and Girty set the tone defensively, each recording 10 total tackles. Hall also disrupted the passing game with four passes defended. Finley had a strong night in the secondary with nine tackles and three pass breakups, while Brodie McNeil chipped in nine stops.
Farris made plays behind the line of scrimmage, recording a sack and an interception to slow down the Raiders’ drives. Jake Scribner added a tackle for loss, and Noah Pope contributed with a fumble recovery.
Flinthills also controlled field position through special teams. Finley delivered a 68-yard punt return and averaged 45 yards on a pair of punts, while Hall and Lane Jenkins provided big yardage on kick returns to regularly set the Mustangs up with short fields.
With the 60-38 victory in the books, Flinthills showed off a potent rushing attack and a resilient defense ready to make noise as the season rolls on.
