HUMBOLDT – The Humboldt Lady Cubs volleyball team hosted 8 teams, Marmaton Valley, Pleasanton, Waverly, Yates Center, Altoona-Midway, St. Mary’s-Colgan, Marais Des Cygnes Valley, and Colony-Crest, on Saturday.
The Colgan volleyball team would take 1st place in the tournament while the host Lady Cubs would take 2nd.
“The girls played well today and really battled in the Waverly Game. Being down by 7 and 8 points at one point in both sets, and finding a away to win is great. We had a few more missed serves than I would like, but with our aggressive serving style that is expected. I was pleased with they way we moved the ball around in system more today than in the past.” said Humboldt coach Terry Meadows
