Erie Splits With Frontenac And Fredonia Tuesday Night

ERIE – Erie High Scool hosted Frontenac and Fredonia in a volleyball triangular last night.

The host dropped both JV matches.  Frontenac defeated Erie in the first match 25-11, 25-19; Fredonia defeated Erie in second match 31-29, 25-23, 15-12.

Erie’s varsity squad went 1-1, losing to Frontenac 25-10, 25-17; then, defeating Fredonia 25-14, 25-17.

“We really struggled last night on serve receive and defense.  We need to be more consistent,” said Erie head coach Karla LaForge.

The Red Devils are off until Monday, when they travel to Humboldt for league opener.  Overall record is 12-5.
