Indy Cross Country

Post by Shagnasty » Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:36 pm

Indy sophomore Renee Trout is picking up where she left off last year. She has won a couple races already and poised to improve on her 3rd place finish last year at state. Even with the departure of Cailie Logue, there's still plenty of tough competition in 4A

Not to highjack the props for the Indy team but your mention of Callie Logue reminded me that her college career at Iowa State is off to an outstanding start. Check out this link: http://cyclones.com/news/2017/9/5/cross ... -week.aspx

Callie going from one of the best in the area to showing she is one of the best in the nation as a freshman. HUGE!

Renee Trout is looking to make some waves now, athletes like these girls are what makes distance races worth watching. I may not be a huge cross country fan, but I like to follow these times as I am a huge track and field fan.

Best of luck to both in representing the SEK

Cailie's mom and Renee' s mom were high school teammates at Labette Co and PSU

There have been a few really good distance runners for girls in the past 5 years or so.
