Coach Harper’s Experience and Staff:
Coach Martha Harper, a veteran of the game with 8 years of coaching under her belt, is at the helm. She’s supported by Assistant Coaches Joy Renfo and Kaydn Matlock, both bringing their expertise to the team. With a proven track record and a passion for the sport, Coach Harper is set to guide her team to victory.
Past Glory and Challenges:
Last year was no stranger to success for the Frontenac team. They finished the 2022 season with an impressive overall record of 24 wins and 7 losses, and they secured 2nd place in the league standings. However, they narrowly missed out on the sub-state title, coming in as the runner-up, with both losses to Riverton.
Stars of the Past:
The team bids farewell to standout players who have left their mark. Hattie Pyle, a dominant Middle Hitter, notched up an impressive 446 kills and 50 blocks throughout the season. Mia Brown, known for her powerful hits and incredible digs, contributed 313 kills and an astounding 369 digs. Hattie Hamblin was the driving force behind the team’s offense, tallying 453 assists during the season.
Returning Champions:
While there are some key players who have moved on, the team is excited to have returning stars back on the court. Audrina Shay, a junior and the team’s Libero, showcased her defensive prowess with 438 digs, leading the team in this category. Senior Kendl Matlock, a setter, contributed 428 assists and was recognized with a CNC honorable mention in the previous year. Lucy Anderson, a talented sophomore outside hitter, displayed potential with 39 kills. Senior Madi Hamm, a skilled middle blocker, registered an impressive 29 blocks and 67 kills.
New Faces, New Potential:
The team is introducing a group of promising newcomers who are eager to make their mark. Junior Raygan Lattimer joins as a Defense Specialist, while Senior Aubree Moore is ready to shine as an Outside Hitter. Junior Sklar Hutchison brings versatility to the team, excelling as both an Outside Hitter and Middle Blocker. Harper Davis, another junior, is set to make her presence known as an Outside Hitter.
