Kansas Cross Country coaches released their first State rankings of the 2019 season. The Girard Boys, Fort Scott & Colgan girls cross country teams were recognized for their accomplishments last week.
In Class 4A Girls, Fort Scott was tied for 6th with 10 votes along with Towanda-Circle.
In Class 3A Boys, Girard was tied for 7th with Scott Community, receiving 12 votes.
In Class 2A Girls, St. Mary’s Colgan placed 6th in the state with 26 votes.
Teams in the SEK-Sports.com coverage area receiving votes included for Boys teams: Iola, Chanute, Independence, Burlington, Colgan, Southeast-Cherokee, West Elk, and Lebo. Girls teams receiving votes included: Anderson County, Independence, Iola, Burlington, Jayhawk Linn.
