The Flinthills Mustangs opened their 2026 fall campaign with an absolute clinic in efficiency on Friday night, using an explosive rushing attack and an active defense to dominate the Udall Eagles in a 58-0 shutout.

From the opening kickoff, Flinthills controlled the line of scrimmage and leaned heavily on their backfield. The Mustangs racked up 278 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on just 16 carries—averaging an eye-popping 17.4 yards every time they handed the ball off.

Senior running back Beau Hall led the charge, finding paydirt four times on the ground. Hall tore through the Udall defense for 135 yards on only seven touches, highlighted by a game-long 48-yard burst. Sophomore Lane Jenkins provided an equally dangerous complement, breaking free for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just six carries, including an explosive 37-yard scoring run.

Senior Charles Farris rounded out the backfield scoring with a 20-yard rushing touchdown of his own, while also returning a kickoff 56 yards to set up prime field position.

Stifling Defensive Performance

While the offense put up points at will, the Flinthills defense completely neutralized Udall at every level, flying to the ball and forcing crucial turnovers.

Junior Deken Girty anchored the front seven, leading all defenders with seven total tackles (three solo), three tackles for loss, and an 11-yard sack. Up front, senior Brodie McNeil contributed four stops and a tackle for loss, while junior Aidan Herrman also broke through into the backfield for a tackle behind the line.

The secondary and linebacker corps were equally disruptive in creating takeaways:

  • Interceptions: Senior Kyoda Geis and senior Beau Hall each picked off passes, cutting short Udall possessions.
  • Fumble Recoveries: Flinthills jumped on four loose footballs, with recoveries recorded by Kaleb Grunder, Tripp Carney, Kolter Flores, and Brodie McNeil.

Special teams also kept field position tilted sharply toward the Mustangs. Junior Ty Finley boomed eight kickoffs—including three touchbacks—and flipped field position on his lone punt with a 32-yard boot.

With dominant performances across all three phases, Flinthills (1-0) showed why they will be a tough matchup in the trenches as the fall season gets underway.
