MOUND CITY, Kan. – The Yates Center Wildcats traveled to Jayhawk-Linn Friday night, looking to avenge their 38-0 loss to the Jayhawks from a season ago. However, Jayhawk-Linn would once again get the last laugh, beating the Wildcats 42-6.

Jayhawk-Linn scored the games first touchdown, and never looked back from that point on, cruising to their fourth consecutive win.

Yates Center’s offense was smothered all night long by a relentless Jayhawk-Linn defense. In fact, the Jayhawk’s defense has only allowed 12 total points over their last three outings.

Yates Center falls to 1-3 on the season, while Jayhawk-Linn improves to a perfect 4-0. This is the second straight season the Jayhawks have started 4-0.

Looking ahead, Yates Center (1-3, 1-1 TRL) will host St. Marys’ High School while Jayhawk-Linn (4-0, 3-0 TRL) travels to take on the Pleasant Ridge Rams.
