TOPEKA, KS – Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has announced effectively immediately all K-12 schools to close and cease all in-person operations for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
This does not mean that school is canceled for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year; in-person operations for the remainder of the school year are canceled and ceased.
Superintendents will be reaching out to their districts in the coming days with the plan moving forward.
The Kansas High School Activities Association has yet to make an announcement in regards to the rest of the 2020 Spring Activities and Sports.
Currently, Kansas schools and student-athletes are prohibited from practicing in club or outside team participation and practices until Sunday, March 22nd.
