Labette County Lady Grizzlies split Tuesday night in SEK League play, facing off against #1 ranked Independence in Class 4A and the Coffeyville Lady Golden Nado.

” I  feel fortunate to have Indy who is currently ranked #1 in 4A and Chanute who’s ranked #2 in 4A, in our league, especially since they constitute 6 of our losses. I think playing great competition will help you in the long run.  I’m also proud that our girls are not backing down from them anytime we play. ” said LCHS Volleyball head coach Heather Wilson.

In the game against Coffeyville, LCHS defeated the Lady Nado 25-6, 25-16. Halle Bevans 5 kills, 5 blocks, Justice Brackney 4 kills, 3 blocks, Anna Dean 3 kills, 3 digs , Sydnie Stice 3 kills, 1 dig, Payton Smith 20 assists, 1 ace, 5 digs.

“I was proud of the way we came out versus Coffeyville, we attacked hard, spread the ball around and played really well overall.”

Against the #1 Independence Lady Bulldogs, LCHS was swept 17-25, 17-25.
