HUMBOLDT – The Lady Cubs volleyball team improved their record on the 2019 season with a sweep of Neodesha and Oswego Tuesday in the Humboldt Triangular.

“Tonight we played as a team more and communicated much better,” said Lady Cubs coach Terry Meadows.

Humboldt defeated Oswego in 3 sets, 28-26, 18-25, 25-20. Isabelle Murrow recorded 4 aces and was backed by Emma Johnson’s 3rd. Jessica Myers also notched 13 kills. The Lady Cubs had 20 digs defensively in their win.

“Jessica was great at the net for us and Emma ran the back row great,” credited Meadows.

Their 2nd match of the night also went 3 sets and went in the favor of the Lady Cubs, 26-28, 25-15, 25-20. Myers would record 14 kills while Alayna Johnson severed up 5 aces. Myers and Kirstyn Murrow were credited with 4 and 3 blocks respectively.

With the sweep, Humboldt moves to 4-4 on the season.
