The Labette County High School volleyball team wrapped the regular season with a sweep of Fort Scott and Parsons Tuesday night.

“I’m thrilled we finally came out on a Tuesday and played the way we’re capable of playing.  We attacked when we needed to but we also played smart volleyball, attacking holes and serving aggressively, scoring points in less dynamic ways.  We also had 6 girls with more than 2 kills, so feel like we’ve got a lot of threats to score. ” said LCHS coach Heather Wilson.

Versus Ft Scott
25-19, 27-25

Anna Dean 7 kills, 5 digs, 1 block

Justice Brackney 9 kills, 2 blocks, 1 dig
Halle Bevans 3 kills, 3 blocks, 3 digs
Payton Smith 17 assists, 2 kill, 4 digs
Laci Strickland 4 digs
Versus Parsons
25-16, 25-23
Anna Dean 3 aces, 4 kills, 5 digs
Abby Ryan 1 ace, 3 digs,
Jaidyn Leech 4 digs
Justice Brackney 4 kills, 3 blocks,
Payton Smith 2 kills, 1 ace, 1 block, 20 assists, 3 digs
Coach Wilson noted, ” Hope to use this confidence headed into substate on Saturday.  It doesn’t matter that our record isn’t amazing at 20-18, now.  Anyone that plays well can be a champion at this stage of the season. I think we’re peaking at the right time.”
