“Another frustrating Tuesday night” is how Labette County Volleyball head coach Heather Wilson described her team’s play against #10 Chanute and Pittsburg in SEK League action.
“We just didn’t play with a lot of energy and pride. We battled at times, but we really need to play harder.”
Against #10 Chanute the Lady Grizzlies were defeated 25-16, 25-11. For LCHS, Justice Brackney recorded 6 kills, Jaidyn Leech 6 digs, Becca Bogner 5 digs, , Payton Smith 10 assits, 5 digs, 1 kill.
In the other SEK league action for Labette County the Pittsburg Purple Dragons won in 2 sets 25-14, 25-17. Justice Brackney 6 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs, Anna Dean 4 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs, Laci Strickland 5 digs, 1 kills, and Payton Smith 14 assists, 2 digs.
Chanute defeated Fort Scott 25-16, 25-12 in SEK League play.
“I know that we will have to play well this weekend in difficult Anderson County tournament. I think we will rebound from this and decide to finish the season strongly.” said Wilson.
