Liberal, MO Volleyball sweeps Colony-Crest and Northeast Volleyball Thursday night.

The Colony-Crest Lady Lancers traveled to Arma, KS Thursday night to take on the host Lady Vikings and Liberal, MO volleyball teams.

“It was a very off night for us. The girls were mentally and physically drained from the week and did not have our usual drive and enthusiasm.” said Crest coach Abigail Hermreck.

Northeast Arma def. Crest 25-11, 25-18. Senior Cassie Bowen lead with 4 kills. Senior Camryn Strickler had 100% serving with 3 serves and lead with 6 digs. Sophomore Aubree Holloran lead serve receive passing.

The Lady Lancers showed some energy in the 2nd game and played Liberal, MO close in both sets. Liberal, MO def Crest 25-21, 26-24.

“We started to get a little more life to us in the match against Liberal, Missouri, but still did not get rolling like we know we can.” said Hermreck.

Senior Cassie Bowen had 5 kills and 100% serving. Freshman Lindsey Godderz (4 serves with 2 aces) and Anna Hermreck (5 serves) had 100% serving. Senior Regan Godderz had 92% serving with 13 serves and 1 error. Sophomore Aubree Holloran lead the team in digs and Senior Breyann Benjamin lead the team in serve receive passing.

Liberal, MO defeated Northeast-Arma in their match up 29-27, 25-22.

Northeast and Crest will face each other again Tuesday September 11th along with Altoona-Midway and Chetopa in a Three Rivers League match-up.
