Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from SEK Sports

It’s been a busy 2nd half of 2017 for us at From relaunching the site in the 2nd week of Football season to hosting our first ever coaches luncheon and basketball coaches poll to attempting to cover all 70+ basketball teams in our region, we’ve tackled a lot in a short amount of time. That’s not by sheer luck. That’s thanks to the passion and dedication of our contributors and staff.

Firstly, thank you to Brian Thomas, Wyatt Bolinger, David Hart, David Bradbury, Jakob Luna, Heath Adkins, Tim Lopez, Vonna O’Brien, and Sophie Osborn for their contributions in articles, photos, and website maintenance. Without their help and stepping up to volunteer we do not have the amount of content that we do today.

Also thank you to the posters on our Message Boards who contribute scores, stats, corrections to our standings, and share stories and accomplishments that we might be missing out on. Thank you to our moderators duke69111 and Shagnasty. Thank you to lostinkc, cnckid, gizzlyfan, LabetteFan and others who have stuck around through our dead period and transition. They have helped in pushing this site to where it is today by sticking around and keeping our forums active. We hope you’ll sign out and join in on the discussions.

Thank you to area media: KOAM-Fox14’s Jacob Lenard, Andi Sioteco, & Matt Newberry, Chanute Tribune’s Andrew Towne, Fort Scott’s Scott Nuzum, Iola Register’s Tim Everson, Parsons Sun’s Sean Frye, and KSHQ’s Trent Kling for providing scores and use of images through out the season. We are fortunate to have passionate a group of sports media members who want to share and highlight the accomplishments of our area student-athlete’s.

Thank you to the Athletic Directors and coaches who have helped us with schedules and scores. We appreciate the time they take to share information with us.

Last, but not least, thank you to you. The visitors. Thank you for visiting, coming back, letting us know of corrections and sharing our content. Thank you for making us a part of your daily web visits. We hope you enjoy the content we provide and as always appreciate any constructive feedback to make it a better experience for you.

We’ve had a jammed pack second half of 2017 and are very eager to continue providing coverage of our area student athletes in Southeast Kansas. In addition to website content, we look forward to expanding our live streaming broadcasts, podcast shows, and many more ideas that are in the works.

Thank you for making it a great 2017. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
