BUFFALO – The Oswego offense amassed 197 yards rushing on 15 attempts and passed for 106 yards on 3 completions en route to a 48-0 victory over Three Rivers League foe Altoona-Midway.

Jace Wilson got things going for the Indians in the 1st quarter with a 23-yard touchdown run. Isac Elliott would contribute with a 2 point conversion. On the next possession, it was Wilson again finding the endzone, this time on a 58-yard run. Jace Landes would run it in for the 2 point conversion and at the end of the 1st quarter, Oswego led Altoona 16-0.

Oswego’s offense found their stride in the 2nd quarter with Elliott scoring 5 seconds into the 2nd quarter on a 9-yard run. The 2 point conversion would fail. Wilson got in on the scoring action with a 13 yard run of his own. The Indian offense would once again fail to convert the extra points. Wilson would find Elliott on a 53-yard pass play to continue to pour on the offensive scoring. For the 3rd straight time, the 2-point conversion would fail. With seconds remaining in the half, Lance Smith threw a 33-yard pass to Wilson for a touchdown and Oswego would convert the 2 point play to go into halftime with a 42-0 lead.

Oswego would put a bow on the game early on in the 3rd as Wilson busted a 44-yard run to enact the 45 point rule and end the game at the 11:41 mark in the 3rd quarter with the final score of 48-0.

Altoona was limited to just 57 yards rushing and 19 yards passing and committed 2 fumbles, but was able to hold on to them.

Oswego moves to 3-0 on the season and will open up district play on the road next week against SCBL member Sedan, who is 2-1 with their win over Marmaton Valley on Friday night.

The Jets fall to 0-3 and will open up district play at home against Chetopa, who is also winless on 2019 following their loss to Lyon County member Lebo on Friday night.
