810Varsity.com Sunday night released their rankings for Kansas football following the completion of week 2. A pair of Southeast Kansas region teams claimed a spot in their rankings while a pair of SEK League schools were on the outside looking in.

In Class 4A, the Pittsburg Purple Dragons (2-0) were given the #6 spot after their back and forth battle with the Chanute Blue Comets Friday night. Bishop Miege remained #1. SEK League members Chanute and Fort Scott, both on the losing end of their week 2 match-ups, were given “Others” notice.

In Class 2A, the Humboldt Cubs (2-0) made the list at the #5 spot with a big win over Tri-Valley League rival Fredonia. Hoisington claimed the top spot in Class 2A.
