Rough Night For Erie Leads To Tri-Valley Split Tuesday Night

It was a rough night last night for the Red Devil Volleyball team, splitting a pair at Eureka.  Erie lost the first match to the host school, Eureka Tornadoes, 22-25, 13-25; then finished with a win over Fredonia, 25-16, 25-11.

“Very disappointed with our loss to Eureka, we just never got going as a team.  We our at the point in our season where you must be ready to play, or you’re not going to be successful.” said head coach Carla LaForge

Catie Elliott had a strong serving performance against Fredonia, scoring 19, for the match.

Other stats on the night: Kills:  Ashlynn Aikins-12, Maddie Kramer-5, Heaven Ellis-5, Elliott-4.

Assist:  Molly LaForge-15, Cassidy Hines-7.

Overall record 17-9; League record 2-1.

 

In JV action Erie went 2-0; defeating Eureka 16-25, 25-17, 16-14, and Fredonia 25-14, 25-16.

Assist:   Clevenger-9, Hailey McGowen-7.
