What a difference a year can make for a program.
That’s the feeling Oswego Indian fans have to be feeling heading into the 2019 season.
First-year head coach Matt Fowler took a program that dropped from 11-man to 8-man football with a 1-8 record to a 6-3 record and 1st round playoff loss to Udall.
Saint Paul has continued to generate buzz in their second year removed from a state football championship appearance. While losing a talented group of seniors, Saint Paul will lean heavily on one of the most showcased and talked about 8-man players in the Eastern Kansas region in Adam Albertini.
With Oswego’s dominance and Saint Paul’s talent, it’s no wonder that those 2 squads gained the most votes in our “SEK-Sports.com Three Rivers League 8 Man Football Fan Poll”
Marmaton Valley, Altoona-Midway, and Chetopa are in rebuilding, reloading modes, but don’t necessarily count them out of putting on a great game or 2.
