Field Kindley has been declared the Southeast Kansas League soccer champion for the 2020 season. It is the second straight year the Golden Tornado have captured the SEK championship and the sixth title in program history. FKHS has won the title outright four times (2002, 2017, 2019, 2020), while also sharing the crown with Independence in both 2003 and 2004.

Due to an unbalanced league slate due to COVID-19, the champion this season was determined based on winning percentage in league competition. Field Kindley went unbeaten in league play at 6-0 (1.000), while Independence was second at 3-0-1 (.875).
Independence still holds the all-time lead in championships for soccer in the SEK League with 10. Field Kindley has now moved into second place with six, while Pittsburg is third with five. Fort Scott has the only other league championship, capturing its title in 2012.
This is the final SEK League standings for 2020. Postseason pairings for Class 5A and 4A will be announced on Saturday.__________________
