All scores are in from Tuesday night’s basketball action around the Southeast Kansas League.

*Pittsburg has clinched the outright SEK boys’ championship. The Purple Dragons have won three straight titles and seven out of the last eight overall. It is the 20th league title in program history.

*On the girls’ side, Fort Scott’s win over Field Kindley, coupled with Independence’s overtime loss to Chanute, means Fort Scott has clinched at least a share of the SEK championship holding a one-game lead over Independence with one game remaining. Fort Scott will visit Independence on Friday. A Tiger victory means Fort Scott wins the outright crown. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs can earn a piece of the title with a victory of their own.

*After sharing the title with Labette County a year ago, Fort Scott has now won back-to-back SEK championships in girls’ basketball. Prior to that, the Tigers had not won a title since sharing the crown with Field Kindley during the 2013-14 season. Overall, Fort Scott has won 10 SEK championships in program history — the second-most in the league for girls’ basketball behind Labette County’s 22.
