Week 3 in the Tri-Valley league has some interesting match-ups.   With everyone playing a league game this week.  I will be attending the Humboldt @ Neodesha game .  The (1-1) Cherryvale Chargers vs.(2-0) Eureka Tornadoes has my interest as well .

      Erie (0-2) @ Fredonia (1-1)

Erie loses a close ballgame to Leon Bluestem in week 2 .  That really has me worried about the Red Devil’s.  I watched Bluestem play the week before and really didnt think they had a win in them for this season .  Fredonia won their first game last week with a big offensive output from quarterback Delvin Hendrix who was able to run and pass the ball with success.  I believe the yellow jackets win big at home this week 38-6.

     Caney  (1-1) @ Leon Bluestem (1-1)

The defending Tr-Valley league champion had their hands full last week with a tough Olpe team .  They will not have any problems at all this week playing an undermanned Leon Bluestem squad .  58-0 Caney for a bounce back week 3.

Eureka (2-0) @ Cherryvale (1-1)  My game of the week

This game has me intrigued with the Eureka team winning its first two games.  At the same time Cherryvale has to be angry after losing last week to the Humboldt Cubs.  Cherryvale gets the opportunity to play in front of their always excited home crowd .  If Eureka could come away with a victory in this great league match-up everyone will believe that this Eureka team is for real .  I am picking the Chargers with a 30-12 victory .

     Humboldt (2-0) @ Neodesha (1-1)

Yes I am a homer when it comes to the Humboldt Cubs team .  I love watching this strong athletic team of young men that just want to win .  Neodesha lost a very close tough fought battle week 1 to Jayhawk Linn on the last play of the game 28-26.  With a blowout victory in week 2 versus Oswego 38-6.  Neodesha always has speed and now they want to throw the ball as well. Randall Mckinnis has been blowing by teams out of the backfield as well as the return game. Humboldt will use every weapon in its arsenal to wear down an opponent .  So far this season quarterback Hesston Murrow and tailback Jacob Barker have carried the offensive load for the cubs. But they will sprinkle in 4 other guys to carry the ball as well . The vigorous Cub defense will smother the Bluestreaks in week 3.  Humboldt’s first road game will come away with a victory if they cut way down on penalties .  Humboldt over the Bluestreaks 32-18 is what I am going with .

Go watch a Tri-Valley League game this Friday !!!! Good luck to everyone.
