*Chanute has clinched at least a share of the SEK championship. The Blue Comets have won three straight titles and four in the past five seasons. Since the SEK returned to a one division format back in 2004, CHS has won six titles. Overall, Chanute has 14 SEK championships in its football history (1934, 1935, 1936, 1981 Lower Division, 1985 Lower, 1991 Lower, 1992 Lower, 1995 Lower, 2005, 2009, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023)
*The Blue Comets, who are 3-0 in the SEK, can win the outright league championship on Friday with a win at Labette County. If Chanute loses that game, it will share the title with the winner of Friday’s game between Field Kindley and Fort Scott, which are both 2-1 in the SEK.
