TOPEKA – The Kansas High School Activities Association released the pairing for 5A and 4A volleyball involving area teams.
In Class 5A, the Pittsburg Lady Purple Dragons, who compete at the 5A level, will be in Sub-State #1 at Maize South, with the 8 seed against Bonner Springs, who is the number 9 seed. For the full list of pairings on Class 5A, click here.
In Class 4A, the Sub-State pairings as well as host sites are as follows:
Sub-State #1, the Independence Lady Bulldogs are the overall number 1 seed and will take on the winner between the 17th seeded Iola and 16th KC Piper. Girard, the 8 seed, will take on Baldwin with the winner advancing to the Sub-State Championship game.
Sub-State #2 will be at Atchinson with Parsons and Coffeyville competing in the Play-In Game with the winner facing off against host Atchison.
Sub-State 3 will be at Eudora with Chanute, the 6 seed, battling Tonganoxie, the 11 seed. The winner will go on to face Eudora or Paola for the Sub-State Championship.
Sub-State #4 will be at Topeka-Hayden with the host taking on Fort Scott and the Labette County Lady Grizzlies matched up with Ottawa.
